Peter ÅSTEDT has been working in the music industry for over 30 years. He started his own record label, Dead Frog Records, at the age of fifteen in 1990. Over the years he has started several companies in different fields in the music industry like PR, Publishing, Distribution, Sync placements, Management, Festivals, and Artist Development. Today he oversees several of the departments on Musichelp which is an umbrella company of different companies in the music industry including publishing, record label, distribution, magazines, radio stations, and festivals. Peter has also been involved in working to structure cities to become music cities. He has worked with five of the top twenty most-streamed songs in the world. He writes a popular music blog that is also published in
Cashbox Magazine Canada and
Record World International. He is also part owner of Cashbox Radio an international online radio station. He is now a booker and curator on the Swedish showcase festivals Future Echoes, Norrköping Music Day and Lilla By Festivalen. He also works with Future Echoes Toronto and Montreal in Canada and works with SPIKE Festival in Bulgaria.
Musichelp is a company that leads the new music industry. The company sprung out as a sublabel on the record label Dead frog records 2003. 2009 Musichelp broke off from Dead frog records and became its own LTD. Today Musichelp is the mother company for several other companies that deals with services in the music industry. Distrosong (distribution), Add-more (management, now under the brand Musichelp), Dead frog records (record label), Dead frog music (publishing), Musichelp publishing (publishing). We also run the nonprofit organization Discover Sensation and the Swedish international showcase festival Future Echoes. The core is artist development and sync placement. But we also provide services for export of music and being on showcases around the world. We also have a creative department doing photography and video making.
