I. Purpose

• The Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development under the Ministry of Culture has organized a series of events titled the Golden Melody Festival, centered around B2B biz-matching and commercial performances, starting in 2014 to aid Taiwan's pop music industry in building a platform for international biz-matching, performances, and marketing. One of the Festival's events, SHOWCASE, aims to introduce Taiwan's pop music and singers with strong potential to overseas markets. The goal is to showcase the diversity of Taiwan's pop music and generate more opportunities for Taiwan's pop music and singers in overseas markets. To this date, SHOWCASE has helped 22 music groups perform in music festivals outside of Taiwan.
• In 2023, the Bureau has decided to issue an open call for the SHOWCASE concert, where a jury will curate an official list of performers from applicants to the open call. You are hereby cordially invited to apply for yourself or singers/ music groups you represent, and we are excited to curate an incredible SHOWCASE for 2023.

II. SHOWCASE Information

1. Date & Time: Late June of 2023, evening (TBC).
2. Venue:Taipei Professional Music Performance Venue.
3. Duration: 30 minutes/ singer or groups.
4. More details will be provided when list of performers is confirmed.

III. Eligibility

1. Singers or music groups previously nominated or awarded at the GMA.
2. Singer or music groups with plans to expand into overseas markets.

IV. Application Guidelines

1. Application Dates: The Bureau is open to applications from today to March 5, 2023 (Sun) 23:59. Applications are dated based on their stamped date. Late applications will not be accepted.
2. How to Apply: Please file applications online at the official GMA website by filling out the application form and providing the required information.
3. Sets: 6 to 9singers or music groups.
4. Announcements: Performers are slated to be announced at the end of March 2023 on the official GMA website and Facebook Page. Performers will be notified via email.

V. Commitments

Performers shall comply with the following:

1. Marketing campaigns.
2. Venue & schedule.
3. Business exchanges, press conferences, and other events relating to the Golden Melody Festival.
4. Performances and marketing campaigns relating to overseas music festivals under strategic alliances.

VI. Rights & Obligations

1. Those that complete the applications agree to related regulations and the sponsor's other regulations. The sponsor retains the right to void applications if applicants fail to provide the necessary documents in compliance with the brochure.
2. Applicantsshall guarantee that all information provided does not infringe on the intellectual property of others. In the event of any infringement claims by third parties, the applicant shall be solely responsible, and the sponsor shall be free of any liabilities. The sponsor also retains the right to terminate performers in the event of any infringement.
3. Performers shall comply with the sponsor's subsequent marketing campaigns, venue changes, schedules, and locations. The sponsor retains the right to terminate performers in the event of failure to comply with marketing campaigns and venue changes.
4. The sponsor retains the right to change, modify, or terminate performers.
