The 2022 Golden Melody Festival will be held in Kaohsiung from June 24 to June 26. GMA released officially the SHOWCASE performance list and the performers include: JADE, Leo Wang, OVDS, Cosmospeople, Flesh Juicer, Sweet John, Mixer, Sauljaljui and ?te. This is the first GMA SHOWCASE held on-site in two years. The three-day performances will definitely ignite Kaohsiung.
This is the first time that GMA SHOWCASE opened to public registration, inviting singers and performance groups with plans to enter overseas markets and which had been nominated or won the Golden Melody Awards. In total, nearly 30 performance groups registered. Five professional judges from home and abroad will select some of them based on music creativity, their live performance and overseas potential to perform on stage.
The 2022 Golden Melody Festival activities will have music conferences, workshops, GMA SHOWCASE, Biz Matching Center, networking events and academia. The main purpose GMA SHOWCASE is to promote Taiwanese outstanding pop singers and groups to the world.
It is hoped that through the Strategic Alliance Program, GMA can promote international exchanges and cooperation, so as to create opportunities for Taiwan's pop music, singers and groups to enter overseas markets. In recent years, nearly 20 groups have been arranged to participate in the performance of overseas music festivals, and have won wide publicity and media acclaim in the international market. This year, GMA is cooperating with the Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM), Sweden Future Echoes, and the Philippines Bin Wanderland Art&Music Festival to keep promoting Taiwan’s musicians to overseas markets.
