GMA organizers have announced the host of the 33rd Golden Melody Awards Ceremony to be held on July 2nd at the Kaohsiung Arena. Veteran singer Daniel Lo will be picking up the mantle by himself for the first time ever hosting the Golden Melody Awards Ceremony. Daniel Lo is a beloved figure in Taiwan and endearingly referred to as the nation's uncle, a testimony to his popularity among the youth. His years of experience in hosting and singing have secured him the distinct honors of winning the “Double Gold”: Lo received Best Male Singer – Dialects at the 12th Golden Melody Awards and Best Host in a Variety programme at the 32nd Golden Bell Awards. When asked about this being his first time hosting the Golden Melody Awards, Daniel Lo admitted that he was nervous. The GMA organizers also released sneak peeks into Daniel Lo's visuals for the GMA. Daniel Lo shared that the look was completely different from his past forty years and that he's been working out to prepare for the awards ceremony.

The red carpet event at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards will be hosted by Yellow, who's been nominated for this year's Best Mandarin Male Singer, and Chen Ming-Chu, a famous Hakka host. Though the pair will be collaborating for the first time together, Yellow is already impressed with Chen's professional speaking skills.
