The 31st Golden Melody Awards Ceremony will be held on October 3rd at the Taipei Music Center with celebrity performers and an all-star presenter lineup that includes Ella of SHE, Leo Wang, Jacob Wang, Eve Ai, CinCin Lee, JJ Lin, EggPlantEgg, Johnny Jiang, LaLa Hsu, Vivian Hsu, Shi Shi, oaeen, Power Station, Eric Chen, Chen Ming Chu, Sandee Chen, Henry Hsu, Rouge Cao, ZiXuan, Kay Huang, Jolin Tsai, and others. Ella, who will be presenting an award this year, shared that, "I'm very honored to be a part of this celebration and I've prepared a beautiful gown so I hope everyone can enjoy the award ceremony." When asked about serving as presenters, oaeen played coy, "secrets are safe with us," but also shouted out to the nominees, "you'll always get your turn!"
Organized by the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development of the Ministry of Culture, the 31st Golden Melody Awards Ceremony will be held at the Taipei Music Center on October 3rd (Sat.) at 7:00 P.M. Surrounding roads will be closed from October 3rd 3:00 P.M. to October 4th 7:00 P.M. for the Ministry of Culture's 2020 Nuit Blanche Taipei event. Roads that will be closed include Section 8 of the Civic Boulevard (from Xingzhong Rd. to Xiangyang Rd.) and the outer (south) most lane of Zhongxiao East Road (outer access lanes including the unnamed street on the east side of the Taipei Music Center will also be closed). Parking will not be available in surrounding areas, so we urge the public to arrive early and take advantage of public transport (Kunyang Station or Nankang Station on the Blue Line) when proceeding to the Taipei Music Center.
As part of the GMA's measures against Covid-19, please wear a face mask at all times and comply with staff members in taking temperatures and cleaning your hands with and sanitizers before entering the venue. Please note that anyone with a body temperature higher than 37.5 °C will not be allowed onto the premises. Staff members will be on site to help direct you to the corresponding lines based on your ticket.
Entry will be available between 17:00 to 19:00 and we urge the public to arrive early as Covid-19 prevention measures and a non-transferrable ticket system has been put in place. Those who arrive late shall comply with staff members to line up again for entry.
Please show your proof of purchase on your phone and the paper ticket. Ticket holders with masks and body temperatures below 37.5 °C will be allowed to enter once staff members have verified ticket information.
The red carpet of the highly-anticipated annual pop music award will be broadcasted live on TTV starting from 5:00 P.M., and the award ceremony 7:00 P.M. Live streams and reruns of the event are available on TTV Main Channel, TTV Variety, Unique TV News Channel, Unique Business News Channel. Online platforms such as LINE TODAY, LINE MUSIC, LINE TV App, and LINE TV (website) will be providing free live-streams and reruns, where LINE TODAY will provide "multi-angled" service to give the audience more options. Audience around the world can also tune in to other platforms include GMA's official website, GMA's YouTube channel (for overseas live streams excluding Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam), Chunghua Telecom MOD, UFO Radio, StarHub (Singapore), Astro (Malaysia), and Tiger Tech (North America). Travelers flying with Eva Airways, China Airlines, and Tiger Air are also able to watch the ceremony on their flights.
