The 34th Golden Melody Awards Ceremony will take place at Taipei Arena on July 1st. To let the audience know more about this year's nominees, a special program "GMA Heat—Being Nominated is A Recognition" is produced. Having "BOUNDARYLESS" as this year's theme, the arrangement of the special program takes on a different approach than the previous years where nominees of different awards and music genres are gathered at the recording of the special to symbolize musicians going beyond various boundaries with music to conduct dialogues. The hosts of this special are this year's GMA Red Carpet hosts Ming-Chu Chen and Wayne Huang Weijin, it is hoped that they can provide the audience the opportunity to get a glimpse of the charisma of this year's nominees through interesting interviews. "GMA Hear—Being Nominated is A Recognition" will air at TTV Main Channel on June 18th @ 1-3pm, and June 25th @ 1-3pm. Please stay tuned!
A-Lin, a five-time contender for the Best Female Mandarin Singer, said as she is once again the music director of her album: "I hope to convey the sorrows and happiness of the 38-year-old A-Lin to listeners through music." The song "Blame" is a collaborative work with Eve Ai, and she is nominated for the Best Composer Award with this song. In the special, A-Lin revealed that she once though about changing the title of the song into "Anger" because Eve Ai's composition for this song is too complicated. Abus.Tanapima, also a contender for Best New Artist, said humorously beside Pei-Yu when talking about the possibility of winning the award: "If I get it, I get it; if I don't then I don't. But I think it's still going to be me!" The two nominees are both confident about winning the award, and announce in advance that such rivalry begins at the Red Carpet.

Enno Cheng has six nominations with her Taiwanese album "Mercury Retrograde".
