In order to reinforce the talent cultivation for domestic popular music industry. The Golden Melody Awards series event Occupying Campus Industry-University Cooperation initiated the Songs and Lyrics Writing Workshop began on 14 April for 8 weeks. A total of 38 students from five different universities participated in the event, and culminated in a final demonstration on 2 June, with Baby Chung, Chen Hung-yu and Europa Huang serving as judge, the event was conducted as a competitive team exercise, demonstration what they have learned in class for the past two months. The creative team A Little Stupid won first place this year, and aside from the $10,000 NTD prize money, they also won a chance to have their work recorded at a professional studio and published on the KKBOX platform. Aside from serving as one of the judges in the demonstration, Baby Chung was also nominated for best album producer in this year's Golden Melody Awards. Chung praised the first-place winner team A Little Stupid for their team spirit, as well as the clear division of labor and focus on their work, despite the performance been relatively simple on the stage;
team Don't Say You're Different From Others came in second place, Judge Europa Huang shared the reason for their triumph – that of providing the audience with a harmonious and comfortable performance.
Chen Hung-yu shared with the class that the industry has high hopes that Taiwan pop music should keep stepping forward, such as the GMA's holding campus events, and inviting industry veterans to guide and teach the next generation, hoping to provide the next generation of music talents with more assistance and resources through all these methods and processes. Consequently, should any such opportunities were to arise again in the future, they should take advantage of it and register in time. The two-month course of Occupying Campus – Songs and Lyrics Writing Workshop not only allowed the students to re-examine the way they study music, but also provided a more clear direction for the students' entering the industry.
