What's New
The first wave of ads for the 31st Golden Melody Awards Ceremony has started. The Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development, which is under the Ministry of Culture, has issued a press release saying that the 31st Golden Melody Awards Ceremony, which was planned to be held on June 27th has been officially postponed until October 3rd. The ceremony will start at 7 p.m. at the Taipei Music Center on that day.
According to the Bureau, the ceremony this year has been changed to be held at the Taipei Music Center, which is scheduled to open soon. The decision was based on discussions between the Bureau and the executive team of the Golden Melody Awards. With this new venue, the ceremony is expected to be as outstanding as those in the past.
Today, the executive team of the Golden Melody Awards released posts on their Instagram and Facebook accounts with the headline "Late but not absent!". The Golden Melody Awards are awarded to recognize outstanding achievement in music. E-SO from MJ116, who was invited to be a “Golden Melody Correspondent”, said that even though the ceremony has been postponed, it will still fulfill its mission: presenting awards to the winners.
The nominees of the 31st Golden Melody Awards will be announced in the middle of July. The Bureau will follow the instructions of the Central Epidemic Command Center and adjust the ceremony schedule based on the COVID-19 information from the government.
