After having the winner of the 28th GMA Best Female Vocalist Mandarin category Eve Ai for the GMA on Campus: Industry-University Cooperation series, the celebrity-filled lineup of the 2018 Golden Melody Awards and Festival series events further invited GMA laureate Khalil Fong as the main speaker for the GMA TALK lecture, with Matilda Tao hosting. The event will be held on 18 June at Clapper Studio located within the Syntrend Creative Park. "I actually wanted to hold a gathering of sort sharing my experiences in music, and GMA TALK is a great chance to realize that idea", Khalil admitted upon receiving the invitation.
After winning the 28th GMA Mandarin Best Male Singer category, Fong has been keeping busy, launching the long awaited Emi the dream catcher series illustrated children's book at the end of last year. Upon receiving the invitation to speak at GMA TALK, Khalil stated "Really a pleasure to attend, I've always enjoyed sharing my ideas and experiences with students from the guitar clubs at school, and this year I get to do it through GMA TALK". He labeled the subject of this talk as "The Journey of Creation", and will be sharing "my own creative process, including song writing methods, techniques and the creative habits and inspirations of people around me".
This year's GMA TALK will indeed be a display in excellence. Fong, juggling between the roles of writer, singer and entrepreneur, encouraged everyone that discipline and perseverance are both required qualities, and that many things needs to be learned on the fly while enjoying each and every one of the processes. Finally Fong shared his jam-packed schedule for the year, with the launch of three more books in the Emi the dream catcher series, and a new single for himself. Singer Diana Wang would also have new works, with the company intending on unveil a brand new artist later in the year.
