Xavier JAMAUX
Composer, Producer, and Owner at bangbang&beats
Xavier Jamaux is a French composer and producer born in Versailles, who over the years has made his mark in the music world. He started by founding the band Orange with Alex Gopher, Nicolas Godin, and JB Dunckel (Air), and later in association with Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) created the French band Ollano.Later, Xavier went on to create his solo project under the name of ‘bangbang’, featuring many artists including Jay-Jay Johanson, Garry Christian, Simon Lord... The Face described bangbang's music as "Air meeting Isaac Hayes"...
His current focus is on film music, and he has already worked with film directors such as Johnnie To, Michael Haneke, Kevin Reynolds, JP Limosin, Thomas Vinterberg, Alexandre Arcady, and Soi Cheang.
Jamaux's score for Three by Johnnie To was nominated for Best Film Score at Taipei Golden Horse Festival (2016) and Hong Kong Asian Film Awards (2017)
Russell BROWER
Senior Director of Audio and Lead Composer of Blizzard Entertainment
Russell Brower is a three-time Emmy Award winner with over 30 years of experience as a composer, audio and musical director, and post-production supervisor. Brower currently serves as the senior director of audio and lead composer at Blizzard Entertainment, publisher and developer of World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises, and Heroes of the Storm.Brower’s background includes work in television, film, theme parks, and games. He is a BAFTA-nominated composer who previously served as a principal media designer and musical director at Walt Disney Imagineering. As an independent composer and sound artist, he worked on such projects as Animaniacs and Batman: The Animated Series. Brower serves on the board of directors of the Society of Composers & Lyricists and the Game Audio Network Guild, and is a member of ATAS and NARAS.
Owen WANG

Owen Wang is a Taiwanese composer best known for his musicals and film scores. Born in 1982, Wang is regarded as one of the most promising composers among his generation, greatly influenced by the Western culture but also inheriting the Asian aesthetics. The young talent received master of music in film scoring from New York University under the mentorships of Dr. Joseph Church and Ira Newborn. During his studies at NYU, he started to write for NYC local independent films and original musical theatre productions in Taiwan. His composition style is a hybrid of rock, jazz, blues and orchestral tradition. His works have been played in varying fields in Taiwan, China, Australia, and New York, including musical theatre, theatrical drama, feature film, short film, documentary, dance, pop song arrangement and commercials.As a film composer, Owen wrote for many local feature films, documentaries, and short films. His music are highly acclaimed for the fullness of emotion with variant styles. His score for Twelve Nights (2014), Zone Pro Site (2013) and Jump Ashin! (2011) have been nominated by Golden Horse Awards (the Academy Award in Greater China) for best original score. His score for short film My Grandma (2009) has also received Golden Bell Awards (the Taiwanese Emmy Award). With his experiences in musical theatre, he’s also skilled in creating musical scenes in films. His original score and songs for Soul of Bread (2012) is regarded as “the spirit of the film” – as described by the Taiwanese film critique Wu Pai-Tzu. Other NY independent film scoring credits include Esha (2010), Daughters (2010), Saeng-il (2010), The Wind-up Life (2010) Banana on the Road (2008), and etc.
Owen Wang’s original musical Mulan was presented in its entirety, accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra, to sold-out audiences in June 2009, and again in January 2011 with new cast and revised music & book at the National Theatre in Taiwan. The show received wide and positive reviews in the National Press as one of the most successful Chinese-language original musicals – “Within the Broadway-friendly melodies exists certain ethnic touch, diverse but yet accessible, humorous but yet provocative,” as the China Times put it. In Fall 2009, Mulan's excerpts has been translated into English for a Taiwanese showcase event in New York City. The entire show has been licensed to reproduce in Melbourne, Australia in October 2011, which received great reviews from local media as the first non-English language musical presented in Australia with great story and songs. In 2016, The musical is invited to perform at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore for year-end production. With a new edition as well as new cast, the musical received great reviews by the local media. Other theatre credits include August:Osage County (2014), Hedwig & the Angry Inch (2013), Formosa Carnival (2011), I Hate Hamlet (2011), Last of the Red Hot Lovers (2011), Q & A (2010), Beauty and the Beast (2009), K24 (2009), and etc.In January 2010, Owen started his own theatre company “STUDIO M” with the ambition to produce original Chinese-language musical and to promote musical theatre education in Taiwan. Now he lives and works in Taipei, frequently collaborating with filmmakers, theatre directors, singers, and musicians in Greater China.
